Mild spring-like weather at the weekend
The weekend will start with mainly sunshine. Only thin and harmless clouds will be drifting across the sky on Saturday. The wind will be light to moderate, occasionally brisk in the east. The forecast is for minus nine to plus three degrees in the morning and one to ten degrees in the afternoon. It will be significantly warmer in the west at up to 15 degrees. On Sunday, partly dense cloud fields will move through from the west and noticeably dampen the sunshine. According to the experts’ forecast, it will be sunniest in the east and south in the first half of the day. Locally, unproductive drizzle and snowflakes may fall from the clouds. The snow line will be between 1,700 and 2,100 meters above sea level. The wind will blow weakly from different directions. Early temperatures will be between minus seven and plus four degrees, with daytime highs between plus three and plus 13 degrees. The highest temperatures are expected in Vorarlberg and Tyrol.
Disturbance zone moves in at the start of the week
The partly dense clouds in the morning will gradually clear as the day progresses on Monday. At times, it will be cloudless, especially in the east. In the afternoon, clouds will increase from the northwest due to an approaching disturbance zone. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from different directions. The thermometer will read between minus four and plus four degrees in the morning. Highs for the day will range from plus five to plus 14 degrees, with the highest temperatures again in the west.
Widespread rain on Tuesday in Austria
It will still rain lightly on Tuesday in many places across Austria. The snow line is between 1,400 and 2,100 meters above sea level. The precipitation will subside during the course of the day, and it will remain dry at times. However, the partly dense cloud fields will persist across the whole country. The sun will only be able to break through occasionally. In the afternoon, widespread precipitation will occur from west to east. Along the main Alpine ridge as far as the Vienna Woods, the wind will blow moderately to briskly from southerly directions. Away from here, it will blow weakly to moderately from different directions. Temperatures of minus three to plus six degrees are expected in the morning, plus five to 14 degrees during the day.
